The firm focuses on three primary practice areas--legal malpractice, business and civil litigation, and divorce and family law. In Texas, Mr. Olsen serves as a Credentialed Mediator in civil litigation and family law matters.
The firm represents individual and business clients on a contingent fee basis when negligence or breaches of fiduciary duties on the part of their attorney or law firm causes them serious financial harm. Please call for a free consultation. Mr. Olsen is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Texas and welcomes the opportunity to review significant legal malpractice cases in either state.
The firm handles various business and civil litigation matters, on either an hourly or contingent fee basis, depending upon the nature of the case. These litigation matters often involve one or more of the following: Breach of Contract, Fraud, Deceptive Trade Practices, Trade Secrets, Tortious Interference, Commission Disputes, Insurance Bad Faith, and Breach of Fiduciary Duty.
Divorce and family law is primarily a local Austin practice, concentrated in Travis and Williamson Counties in Texas, where Mr. Olsen is available for Contested and Uncontested Divorces, Custody Disputes, Enforcement and Contempt, Alimony and Child Support, Domestic Violence Injunctions, and Modification Actions.
Mr. Olsen graduated with high honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1973, and served as an officer in the United States Navy for four years, before attending the University of Texas School of Law. An Articles Editor for the Texas Law Review, he graduated with honors in 1980, and served for one year as law clerk to the Honorable Homer Thornberry, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, before entering private practice.
Mr. Olsen's career path then took him from large, prominent defense firms, to a small litigation boutique, and finally to his own trial practice in downtown Dallas. Licensed to practice in both Texas and Florida, Mr. Olsen moved, in July 1997, to Jensen Beach, on the Treasure Coast, where he continued to represent businesses and individuals primarily in cases involving legal malpractice, business and civil litigation, divorce and family law, and will review cases involving serious personal injuries and wrongful death. In June 2012, he moved his family to Austin, opened his Austin office, and continues to serve clients in both states.
The firm represents both plaintiffs and defendants, on either an hourly or contingent fee basis, depending on the nature of the case.
